Non-Compete Agreement
A non-compete agreement, or covenant not to compete (CNC), is a term used in contract law under which one
party agrees to not pursue a similar profession or trade in competition against another party. The use of
such an agreement is premised on the possibility that one party may begin working for a competitor or
starting a business, and gain a competitive advantage by abusing intimate knowledge of the other party's
operations to release trade secrets or sensitive information such as customer/client lists, business
practices, upcoming products, and marketing plans.
Non-Disclosure Agreement
A Non-Dislosure Agreement, or NDA, is a contract through which the parties agree not to disclose information
covered by the agreement. An NDA creates a confidential relationship between the parties to protect any type
of trade secret.
Common Surfaces
Common surfaces include streets, sidewalks, grass, sand, carpet, tile, wood flooring, and any other
surface a hoverboard might be expected to work over. Buried magnets, wires, and metal surfaces are
prohibited.
Proof-of-Concept
Proof-of-Concept, or POC, is a device which demonstrates the feasibility of a concept or idea. It's
purpose is to verify that some concept or theory is probably capable of exploitation in a useful manner.
The proof of concept is usually considered a milestone towards the realization of a fully functioning
prototype.
